PraanaTech on the bio-entrepreneurs podcast: our vision for accessible Alzheimer's diagnostics

I recently had the unique opportunity to participate in a bio-entrepreneurs podcast interview, and I want to share that experience here because it gave me a chance to articulate, in a conversational way, what drives everything we do at PraanaTech. These conversations matter to me — not just as a communication exercise, but because they force me to distill complex ideas into something accessible and human. And when the topic is early Alzheimer's diagnosis, making things accessible and human is exactly what it is all about.

During the interview, my host Rosendo Garganta asked me the kinds of questions that get to the heart of why someone leaves a comfortable research or corporate career to start a company in the medical imaging space. My answer, as it always is, came back to one core conviction: the technology to detect Alzheimer's disease early enough to make a real difference already exists — the problem is that it is not reaching the people who need it. PET imaging is one of the most powerful tools available for confirming the presence of amyloid-beta plaques, the pathological hallmark of Alzheimer's. But PET scanners are expensive, large, complex to operate, and concentrated in a small number of academic and research centers. That gap between scientific capability and real-world accessibility is what PraanaTech was built to close.
